Crisis Mobilization

In times of crisis, children often suffer the most. In 2023, BLOOM introduced the ‘Mobilizing for Children in Crisis’ program through which we advocate for the needs of and provide a range of support services to vulnerable children in crisis situations. This includes children impacted by natural disasters, pandemics, displacement, famine, war and conflict. To date, BLOOM has mobilized for children in crisis in Morocco, Palestine, Pakistan, Egypt, and the USA.

Program Highlights

BLOOM has mobilized for children in crisis in Morocco, Palestine, Pakistan, Egypt, and the United States, and we continue to expand our reach. Some examples of our work for children in crisis around the world includes:

  • Providing over 500,000 hot meals, fresh produce, clean water, clothing and shoes to children and families in Gaza, Palestine in 2024.
  • Rebuilding a school in the village of Kettou, Morocco that was destroyed by the 2024 earthquake.
  • Providing educational materials to children in orphanages during the COVID-19 crisis.
  • Providing psycho-social support events for children in Palestine, including art and play therapy.
  • Aligning Palestinian children coming to the United States for medical treatment with pro bono, culturally competent, trauma-informed therapists.
